The "Neue Bochumer Brille" are small mesh visors with a viewing window and they are used in foundries. Normally inspection glasses are inserted in the window, to evaluate the molten mass.
The are two different versions for fixing the Bochumer Brillen to the helmet. The Bochumer Brille can be screwed to the helmet with a hinge. To do this you have to drill a hole in the helmet. An alternative is the fixation with an aluminium-rail. With the rail the Bochumer Brille is attached to a visor carrier.
